U2 and Green Day will perform live, together, to mark the opening of Louisiana Superdome next Monday night. Before the football game between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, the two bands will perform a cover of The Skids track ‘The Saints Are Coming’ and a download will raise funds for Music Rising. In the days following Hurricane Katrina, the Louisiana Superdome became a symbol of agony and distress. The NFL game on September 25th is the first event to come from the stadium since the Katrina devastation and the live performance by U2 and Green Day will be televised during ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown pre-game show between 7:00pm-8:30pm EDT. Also, the New Orleans Saints officially sold out the entire regular-season home schedule in the Louisiana Superdome. It is the first time in the history of the franchise, founded in 1967, that every available seat is owned by a season ticket holder.

Well, here I am on the New Jersey shore recovering from a rough day on Belmar beach! Finally the sun stopped by today after 3 solid weeks of rain. Beach, bars and thin crust pizza, ahh, everything else about NJ sucks! Well, the tomatoes are ok too. I did manage to get the Recap Sheet for week 1 uploaded to the web!
